Kanaka Crave – About Us

Kanaka Crave is a passionate four-person culinary team dedicated to creating delicious, home-cooked meals with a modern twist. We prioritize healthy eating, fresh ingredients, and ensuring every guest feels fed and cared for.

All team members hold Food Safe Level 1 certification and safe food-handling training.

Where It Started

Kanaka Crave began in 2020 during the height of COVID-19 as the Kanaka Necessities Store (KNS), providing lunches to support community members while minimizing travel and virus exposure.

Over time, community demand grew for catering, and Kanaka Crave evolved into a full food service team.

Today, we provide catering for 10 to 90 people — from community gatherings to project crews and special occasions.

What We Offer

Dinner Catering — $35 per person

Includes:

1 main entrée
2 sides
Dessert
Drinks

Menus are customized to match your event, seasonal ingredients, and can include traditional meals upon request.

Community Lunches

Hot meals are served every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 PM – 1 PM at the Kanaka Bar Community Centre.
